**Lagoon (Groupe Bénéteau), one of the market leaders, was a precursor of this industrial approach from the 380 models in 2005 with the release of the S2, but the lightening became more marked with the models from the 400 series (after 2010).

These changes have led to boats:

• Lighter and more voluminous inside.

• Less expensive to produce.

• More fragile in intensive uses (around the world, long crossings).

• Less durable without rigorous maintenance.

In summary, from 2005-2010, the construction philosophy has evolved towards a lean series production, adapted to moderate leisure use. It is an economic response to a reality of use... but which can pose a long-term problem for some owners.
